Ereboros have released From Oblivion to the Grave, their debut album, ten tracks, and the physical side of it is split between two labels.
Elessar Records has the vinyl and Cianeto Records has the CD, with digital alongside both. That arrangement is more common than it looks for a band outside the usual circuits: one label reaches the collectors who buy records, another reaches the people who still buy discs at shows, and neither has to carry the whole cost of pressing.
The Brazilian quartet had already put out four of these ten songs as singles before the album, which is close to half of it.
The writing is drawn from the members' own experiences rather than from anything borrowed, and the band put it as suffering, anxiety and the difficulty of moving forward when reality stops making sense. That is a plainer account than most death metal lyric sheets admit to.
Musically it moves between crushing passages and melodic ones, with the melodies used to deepen the weight rather than to relieve it. A video for Distorted Man-Made Concept came out with the album.
