Ice Nine Kills have two records coming and Spencer Charnas announced both from the stage of the band's own convention, Silver Scream Con, in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The first is an EP, A Very Vicious Christmas, out on 9 November, and it was not written for an album cycle. It was made for the Terrifier Terror Tram at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, which is to say a band whose entire catalogue is built on horror films has been commissioned to score a ride through one. That is either the logical end point of the concept or the beginning of something, and the band have never been shy about which.

The second is the album. The Silver Scream 3: Every Flick In The Book is planned for 2027, and the subtitle folds in the name of their 2015 record Every Trick in the Book, which was the one built on novels rather than films. The series started with The Silver Scream on 5 October 2018, eight years ago to the day, and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood followed in October 2021.

Charnas is the only founding member still in the band, which formed in Boston and put its first album out in 2006. The line up now is Charnas on vocals, Ricky Armellino and Dan Sugarman on guitars, Joe Occhiuti on bass and Patrick Galante on drums.
