Jaded Heart have released We Come Alive with a lyric video, the second song out of Toxic, which arrives on 15 January through Frontiers.

What is unusual is how openly the credits are given. Johan Fahlberg wrote the words. Peter Östros wrote the music with Magnus Henriksson of Eclipse, as he did before. Bands at this level normally publish a collective credit and leave it there, and saying who did which half tends to mean the arrangement is settled and nobody minds it being known.

The band describe the song against the first one rather than in the abstract. Compared with One By One it has a more aggressive groove and more shred in the solo, and they put that as extra edge without losing the melodic core.

They are also unambiguous about what the album is. Melodic hard rock, they say, nothing more and nothing less, which is a rarer thing to read in a press release than a claim about reinvention.

Toxic is the first full-length in more than four years and holds One By One, We Come Alive and Hell Driver among its songs. They signed for it thirty six years into the band.
