Kali Juga have released their second full-length, titled Do Koske in Latin script, out since 29 October as an independent digital release.
Eight songs fill just under an hour. Monstrumi runs past ten minutes, Srpski Deseterac and Bal Vampira both pass nine, and the shortest thing on it is the Trivalia cover that closes the record at four and a half.
Set that against sixteen songs in thirty seven minutes, which is what another band put out the same week, and you have the two ends of what underground metal does with an album's worth of time. Stoner doom spends it; black metal of that kind refuses to.
What makes the output notable is the calendar. The Belgrade band formed in 2025 and the first album came out that same year, so this is a second full-length inside roughly twelve months, without a label behind either of them.
The titles are in Serbian throughout, the band's own language, which for a stoner doom band working in English markets is a choice rather than a default.
