Metal Church have released a video for Dead To Rights, and it is live footage rather than anything staged, shot at the Alcatraz Festival in Belgium in August.
That is the right choice for this particular song. Kurdt Vanderhoof says it was written to be played live, and a band whose current line-up is six months old has more to prove on a stage than in front of a camera.
The line-up is the story underneath the story. Vanderhoof and Rick Van Zandt on guitars, with former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, Ken Mary of Flotsam And Jetsam and Fifth Angel on drums, and Brian Allen of Vicious Rumors singing. They played their first show together in May in Mexico.
The album came out in April through Rat Pak, ten tracks, produced by Vanderhoof and mixed by Chris Harris. Next comes the Metal Saint Tour, sixteen North American dates co-headlining with Armored Saint, from 2 November to 21 November.
