Ministry released Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery) today, and with it a video for Crickets, directed by Dean Karr.
The song is about the resurgence of fascism and about saying so out loud, which is not a late swerve into politics. Al Jourgensen has been writing some version of this song since the Reagan administration, and the band's reputation was built on records that named names.
Karr has made videos for Korn, Ozzy Osbourne and Queens of the Stone Age, so the look is somebody else's craft applied to a band that mostly made its own.
Ten tracks, after HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES in 2024, with Paul Barker back on the closing song for the first time since 2003. The records stop here but the shows do not: a European farewell run follows in spring 2027 with Die Krupps as guests. Forty years is a long argument to finish.
