The Number Twelve Looks Like You have put a visualizer to "Trust Chaos", the last song off Howls From The Holographic Heart before the album arrives on Friday. A remastered Mongrel comes out the same day.

Two records on one Friday, one new and one twenty years old, is a decision about who the audience is. We wrote about the pairing when it was announced: a tour built around the anniversary of Nuclear.Sad.Nuclear. and a new album arriving into the same week.

A band in this corner of mathcore has to do that work itself. There is no radio to carry a single and no festival slot that explains who they are, so the reissue is the handrail: people who know the old record find the new one standing next to it on the same shelf on the same day.

Nothing on "Trust Chaos" suggests a band softening. The visualizer is a visualizer, which is the right amount of ceremony two days out.
