Parkway Drive have dated their documentary. Home opens in selected Australian cinemas on Thursday 12 November and reaches North American screens on 18 November through Evan Saxon Productions.

The film was shot at the Sydney Opera House, which for a band out of Byron Bay is the point rather than the venue. Hype Republic made it, and it follows the route from a hardcore band nobody outside New South Wales had heard of to an act that headlines European festivals.

The distributor is worth a line. ESP has put out concert films for Jack Johnson, Billy Idol, Linda Perry and a Jimmy Buffett documentary, which is to say this is a company that handles artists with an audience old enough to book a cinema seat. "It's been a tremendous pleasure partnering with Parkway Drive and the filmmakers at Hype Republic," Saxon said.

A cinema run is now a normal part of a metal band's year rather than a curiosity. What is less normal is a metalcore band getting one at this scale, and a show at the Opera House is the reason it happened.
