Saliva have released a video for "Rivers", the song Bobby Amaru wrote for Sam Rivers, and the timing is the point: the Limp Bizkit bassist died on 18 October 2025, aged 48.

"'Rivers' was written in honor of my late friend Sam Rivers, who passed away last October," Amaru said. "He was a huge inspiration."

The friendship was not a passing one. Amaru and Rivers started Sleepkillers together in 2019, and Rivers helped get Burn Season off the ground, a band that also had Brad Stewart in it, who now plays bass in Saliva. The connection ran through three projects before it ran through a eulogy.

The song is on Breaking Through, which Judge and Jury Records put out on 14 August, so the track has been available for two months. What arrived this week is the video, directed by Gray Taylors, held back until the anniversary. That is a deliberate choice and a better one than releasing it in August would have been.
