Sarcator released The Ones We Follow on 30 October through Reigning Phoenix Music, their fourth album, and they have given what it does a name of their own: death's rock.

Coining a term for your own record is usually a warning sign. In this case it is doing honest work, because the alternative is a list. Punk urgency, gothic Western atmospheres, traditional heavy metal and raw rock and roll, with the harsh vocals the band kept from where they started. No single existing label covers that set.

Mateo Tervonen traces the openness back to album two. "We started to listen to all kinds of music, and it made the album sound more progressive, weird, and rock oriented, and we have kept that since then," he told Dead Rhetoric. On this one he says the writing tightened. "We were more focused. That shines through in the material as well. It's very worked through."

Ten tracks, and a new bassist on them. Linus Edmarker has joined Tervonen, guitarist Leo Buchalle and drummer Jesper Rosén.

A Stockholm launch show with Zadism follows on 6 November, then dates in Malta, more in Sweden, and Næstved Metalfest in Denmark next summer. The second single went out a month ahead of the record.
