Somnent release Heirloom on 30 October through Ardua Music. It is the third album and it is about what a family can do to a person and what it costs to leave.
The eight titles carry the argument on their own: Severed Ties, Barren Mother, The Feeding Hand. A Voice Of Inner Child opens the record with Natalia Drepina of Mourneress singing on it, and Throne Aflame follows, heavier. The first song out, Where Silence Dwells, has a video.
Giovanni Antonio Vigliotti started the Orlando project in 2015 and plays everything on it, electric and acoustic, and wrote all the words. Jari Lindholm mixed and mastered; Augusto Peixoto of Iron Doom Design painted the cover.
The record does not end where it starts. The band say there is room in it for recovery and for hope, which is a harder thing to write than the wound.
