Survivalist have dated an EP called Four Nails for 13 November through Seek and Strike, and opened it with "Infinity" and a video.

The song is about cancer and the band say so without dressing it up. "'Infinity' explores the anger and grief surrounding cancer, drawing from guitarist Nick's brother's battle and recovery, and my own experience having lost a brother to cancer," they said. "Ultimately, it's a message of hope, resilience and reminding people that there is always light beyond the darkest moments."

The Belfast four piece call what they do groovecore, their own word for metalcore and deathcore with the groove left in. There are four songs: "House of Hate", "Compass Rose", "Claymore" and "Infinity", written with a room in mind rather than a mixing desk, which in practice means two steps and breakdowns placed where a crowd will find them.

It follows A Place for Those Who Suffer, Alone, which came out in January, and the debut VII from 2021. In between those records the band have opened for Thy Art Is Murder, Chelsea Grin, Polaris, Suffocation and Kublai Khan, which is a list a band earns by playing rather than by releasing.
