Thrown have put out Unwanted, the album that follows Excessive Guilt, through Arising Empire.
Ten tracks, and the Stockholm four piece have not moved anywhere they were not already standing. The breakdowns are heavier and the vocal lines take more openly from hip hop phrasing, which is what the band were doing on the first record as well, with less room to do it in. Nothing here runs long.
Three songs came out ahead of it: Split in April, Rehearsed in June and Critic in August.
What has changed around them is the size of the room. The band passed 227 million streams on Spotify off the back of one album, which for a hardcore band with no radio song is a number worth stating plainly.
Buster Odeholm plays drums and produces, which is the other reason these records sound the way they do; the rest of his week runs through Vildhjarta and Humanity's Last Breath. Marcus Lundqvist sings, Johan Liljeblad and Andreas Malm play guitar.
A European run starts in Stockholm on 27 November and finishes in London on 13 December.
