Walls of Jericho have put out True Til Death, the third song from System Error: Humanity, with a video by Mateo Torres. The album is out on 13 November through Napalm Records and it is their first in ten years.

The title is not a coincidence and it is not irony either. True til death is the oldest promise in hardcore, the thing written on a thousand forearms, and a band naming a song that twenty eight years into their own run is making a statement about the run rather than about the song.

Candace Buckingham has fronted this band from Detroit since 1998, apart from the two years around 2001 when it stopped, which puts her among the very few women who have held the front of a hardcore band across its whole history. No One Can Save You from Yourself, the last record, came out in 2016.

Three songs are out from it already, which for a record still five weeks away means the label is treating this as a return rather than a routine release. Ten years is long enough for that to be the right call.
