We Came As Romans have put out BORN FROM NOTHING and laid out what it belongs to: ALL IS BEAUTIFUL... BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED: CIRCULARITY, twenty three tracks, out on 6 November.
It is last year's album reopened rather than a new one. Four songs are new: WHEN EVERYTHING IS STILL, DEAD SILENT with Make Them Suffer on it, BORN FROM NOTHING and SPEAK TO EXIST. Six more are existing songs rebuilt with a guest, and the tracklist puts each rework straight after the original, so bad luck is followed by bad luck with Currents and After The Burial, red smoke by red smoke with HEAVENSGATE, one by one by the version with Dayseeker, culture wound by the one with Ladrones and b2tm by the one with Bury Tomorrow.
That sequencing is the whole idea. A deluxe edition usually buries its extras at the end; this one makes you hear the two versions back to back, which is a harder thing to ask of a listener and a more honest one.
The band formed in Troy, Michigan in 2005 and has seven albums, from To Plant a Seed in 2009 through Tracing Back Roots, Cold Like War and Darkbloom to All Is Beautiful... Because We're Doomed last year. Dave Stephens sings, Joshua Moore and Lou Cotton play guitars, Andy Glass plays bass and David Puckett drums.
