Blind Channel Close Painstream With a Video That Leaves Them Out of It

Blind Channel released Painstream through Century Media, twelve tracks, and the last single out of it is Messiah.

The video is the odd part. Every clip this band have made has put the five of them on screen, and this one does not. It tells a standalone story instead, which they describe as a story the song sparked in us rather than anything about the band.

The song is about faith, and the line they use for it is better than most press release writing. "We discovered that believing in something is a lot harder than not believing in anything," they said. "Our attempt was to make a song that echoes like a cathedral that might collapse on you any moment."

The album is framed around pain at every scale, from the personal to the general, with the band saying it ends up at hope and shared experience rather than at the bottom. They also recently put out a live studio session recorded at Finnvox in Helsinki, with Into The Void and Diana from this record and Deadzone from the last one.

Earlier in the cycle they built a single out of the Fermi paradox and a radio signal from 1977.
