In This Moment have played I Want To Believe live on SiriusXM, which puts a studio collaboration into a room with no overdubs.
The recorded version has Dayseeker on it, one of three guests on Witch. The others are Kim Dracula on Heretic and Kat Von D on a cover of the Pink Floyd song Another Brick In The Wall, which is a stranger booking than either of the first two.
Witch came out on 28 August, eleven tracks, and it is the band's ninth album and the first they have released through Better Noise Music.
Maria Brink puts the record in her own frame. "Witch is my declaration of inner transformation," she said. "It is about embracing the duality within, taking pain, persecution, and struggle, and alchemizing them into strength and power." She describes the word in the title as meaning a creator rather than anything borrowed from folklore.
The band have been working this mix of spectacle and melody for two decades, with platinum certification and a career streaming count past two billion behind them.
