Saffire will release Last Man Down on 19 February 2027, and it comes out on a label they have not used before, Pride and Joy Music.
The record was made almost entirely in house. Victor Olsson, who plays guitar in the band, recorded and mixed it at North Island Studios, and the only outside name is Thomas Johansson, who mastered it at The Panic Room in Sweden.
That is the normal shape for a band at this level now. A guitarist who can engineer is worth more than a budget, and a mastering credit from a known room is what keeps the record sounding like the ones it will sit next to.
They started in 2005 and this is the fifth album out of twelve releases, which makes them one of the steadier Swedish bands working in the space between progressive heavy metal and hard rock without ever belonging fully to either.
