Sarcator have released Ain't Fit to Live, the third song from The Ones We Follow, which Reigning Phoenix Music puts out on 30 October.

Three singles inside a month is a label running a campaign properly, and it also means the record is now about a third audible before anybody has to pay for it. The two earlier songs showed the two halves of what this band do, the thrash and the black metal, usually inside the same song.

They are young enough that the word prodigy keeps attaching itself to them, which they have outgrown: this is a fourth album, not a debut with a famous surname attached. What the songs have gained since the early records is patience, and the willingness to leave a riff alone for longer than eight bars.

Reigning Phoenix Music have had them since the last record, and the label has been steady about it: no reissues, no anniversary packaging, just albums at the pace the band write them.

Ain't Fit to Live is streaming now. The album lands on Friday.
