Almost nothing gets reissued without being remastered, which is what makes this worth saying out loud: Stratovarius are putting Infinite back on vinyl on 2 October and leaving the original master exactly as it was, on the grounds that it still sounds right and that touching it would cost the record its character.
Alongside it the band have shared an official live video for Hunting High And Low, the album's opening song, filmed in Tampere during the Under Flaming Winter Skies Tour in 2011. The album itself came out in 2000, with founding guitarist Timo Tolkki, and is the one most people reach for when they argue about where Finnish power metal peaked.
The reissue is a double LP on 180 gram gold vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with gold foil, an eight page booklet and three bonus tracks. The running order is unchanged: Hunting High And Low, Millenium, Mother Gaia, Phoenix, Glory Of The World, A Million Light Years Away, Freedom and Infinity.
