Malevolence play fourteen shows across Britain and Ireland in February, opening in Southampton on 4 February and finishing at the O2 Academy in Sheffield on the 20th.
The run is called United Kingdom of Chaos 27, with the Irish leg billed separately as Ireland of Chaos, and the band are explicit about why it looks the way it does. "There are so many incredible places to play that are often forgotten in favour of the big hotspots like Manchester and London," they say. "We are seizing the opportunity to delve a little deeper and give these cities the attention they deserve."
So the itinerary runs Southampton, Liverpool, Torquay, Cardiff, Brighton, Norwich, Hull, Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Newcastle, then Dublin and Belfast, then Edinburgh and home. Torquay and Hull on a tour of this size is not an accident.
Support is Guilt Trip from Manchester and Bodyweb from Leeds, both hardcore, both British, which is the other half of the statement. "A proper UK run with a full UK line up in support," the band call it. Tickets go on general sale on Friday.
