Short Biography

Formed in Connecticut in 2013 by vocalist Ben Duerr and guitarist Chris Wiseman as a two-man studio project, and named after a ship in the Halo games, whose novels supplied the storyline of the early songs. The Inferi Sententia EP came out in 2014 and Primordial, with programmed drums, in 2016. Reclaimer (2017) was the first album without programmed drums, after Matt Kohanowski joined as drummer in 2016. Melancholy (2019), Elegy (2022) and Imperium Delirium (2025) followed. Most records are self-released, and Imperium Delirium was distributed through Blood Blast Distribution. The songs pair deathcore riffing and breakdowns with orchestral arrangements and samples, and Francesco Ferrini of Fleshgod Apocalypse contributed orchestral work to Melancholy. Anthony Barone took over the drums in 2018 and Bryce Butler in 2020, and Andrew Monias has played bass since 2018. In October 2025 Duerr left a tour with Lorna Shore for the birth of his child, and Monias and Adam Mercer covered the vocals.
